Kia ora!
If you are here because you are engaged and looking for a photographer to capture your wedding day - CONGRATULATIONS!!
Choosing a wedding photographer can be a bit overwhelming. It’s a big choice! There are a lot of photographers out there and all have different styles, packages and offerings. It’s easy to get lost in all the information - so here are my tips for selecting your wedding photographer:
I think when you are choosing your photographer there are three big items you need to consider:
Do you love their work? Have you seen lots of examples from weddings they have photographed?
Are they within your budget or can they tailor a package to suit you?
Do you like them!
The last one is super important. Your photographer is with you for most of your wedding day.
I like to meet with couples for a coffee before they book with me so I can hear their ideas and plans for the day. If you are not in the Wellington Region I’m always happy to have a video chat.
It’s really important that you feel comfortable and confident with me taking your photo. I completely realise that most people aren’t at ease in front of the camera ( I myself do not enjoy having my photo taken) It’s my goal to make having your photos taken a fun experience.
My style of wedding photography is a mix of documentary/candid images and “classic” portrait photography. I love capturing all the laughter and I LOVE showing couples through their images how gorgeous they are.
