One thing I love about my job as a photographer is that I get to meet so many cool people! Recently I had loads of fun photographing the confident and gorgeous Renate, Laura and Grace in Wellington.
And then the sun came out......
Being an photographer in Wellington can be a little tricky sometimes. The weather can be pretty unpredictable - it's going to rain - no wait, now it's not. Gale force winds - but only really in coastal areas....... It's going to be sunny........ until I grab my camera and then it will rain!! URGH!
But sometimes you get perfect conditions when you take a chance - when the forecast is saying rain on a cold winters day but you and an amazing couple decide its not raining at a certain time "so lets just give it a go" and everyone can be a bit flexible - you may just get the perfect golden winter light.
And while it may have been a bit cold the lovely Alex and Becky had each other to snuggle for warmth during their engagement shoot xx
Sunshine and Laughter
Last week I got to hang out with the beautiful Emma and James for their engagement shoot. They like to laugh ....... a lot. This was especially lucky for me because one of my favourite things to photograph is people laughing. The world needs more laughter and this amazing duo are doing their bit xx
The Wild Wellington Coast
The gorgeous Julia and Dave were married last year in Central Otago but really wanted to have a series of wedding photos on the wild Wellington coast which they loved exploring.
Having recently moved away from Wellington they chose a date to have their sitting and travelled up for the weekend. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on their side with FREEZING cold temperatures and sharp needle like winds whipping the coast. But did that phase this fearless couple?
NO!
Completely in awe of Julia and Dave. They spent the shoot laughing and smiling and having a great time. I guess when the weather gives you a lemon you make your own sunshine xx
