Back in 2016 the SPCA National Rescue Unit and Massey University saved Poppy the horse from a flooded ravine. It was a dramatic rescue as they raced against time to rescue Poppy who had been stranded for 3 days in the flooded river. https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2016/06/horse-rescue-underway-near-wellington.html
This year Dutch Horse Magazine Penny ( https://penny.nl/) wrote an article on Poppy's story and I got to go photograph her two years on from her ordeal.
After watching the footage of her rescue it was amazing to see her galloping around her paddock and showing me all her attitude!
Massive love to SPCA National Rescue Unit and Massey University for rescuing this beautiful horse and for all the animals they help xx
